Someone who answers when something breaks
Updates tested before they go live, monthly performance checks, and a support inbox with a person behind it — for websites, applications and the systems that run on them.
What we do
Website maintenance for sites the business depends on
A website is not finished when it launches
WordPress needs core and plugin updates. Vulnerabilities get discovered in software that was fine last month. Performance drifts as content accumulates. And every one of those is somebody’s job, right up until it is nobody’s.
The usual pattern is that nothing happens for eighteen months and then something does — a plugin conflict takes the site down, or a known vulnerability gets exploited on a version that should have been updated in March.
Updates, tested first
Every update is applied to a staging copy and checked before it touches the live site. This is the part most maintenance retainers skip, and it is the reason “we ran the updates” is sometimes followed by “and now the checkout is broken”.
Alongside that: monthly performance checks against Core Web Vitals, security monitoring, and a monthly allowance for the small changes every site needs — a price change, a new page, a form field.
And a person who answers
A support inbox that reaches somebody who knows your site, with a response inside one business day. For anything urgent — site down, checkout failing — we treat it as urgent rather than as a ticket in a queue.
What this does not include
This is the software, not the server. Uptime monitoring, backups, SSL and server patching are managed hosting, which is a separate service.
Most clients take both, and it is simpler. But we will maintain a site hosted anywhere — you do not have to move to us to be looked after.
A hacked website costs more to fix than twelve months of maintenance.

Common questions
Website maintenance questions answered
What people ask before taking on a maintenance plan.
It depends on what the site is and how much change it needs. A brochure site that rarely alters and an e-commerce store with weekly product updates are different jobs.
It is a fixed monthly fee agreed before we start, with the change allowance included rather than billed on top.
Tell us what the site is and how often it changes, and we will tell you what a plan looks like.
