Why you have not heard of us

For the first five years we worked entirely by referral. No advertising, no public portfolio — just people who had worked with us telling other people. On that basis we have been trusted with work up to R900,000, built over roughly a year, and delivered it. This website is us opening the doors. The work was never public; that is all.

Who else we build for

Some of our work is for other agencies. They come to us when a project needs capability they do not have in-house, or capacity they cannot free up in time. We do not name them — white-label work stays white-label. But it is worth saying, because an agency choosing to subcontract to us is a different kind of endorsement from a client testimonial. They could have built it themselves, and chose not to.

Why we do not bill by the hour

Most agencies quote by the hour. That works out well for the agency and badly for you — the estimate moves, the invoice grows, and nobody can say when it will be finished. On a defined project we do the scoping work up front, agree a fixed price and a delivery date, and then build it. If we misjudge the effort, that is ours to absorb rather than a change request for you to pay. On longer builds — anything running past a few months — we agree a monthly rate against a defined scope instead. Fixing a price twelve months in advance is guesswork dressed up as certainty, and we would rather be straight about that than quote a number we would end up arguing with you about. Our largest engagement to date ran that way for eleven months. Either way, you know what you are paying before you commit, and the scope is agreed in writing. That is the part that matters.

Who you will actually work with

DIGIDMN is a small core development team, extended by a network of designers and specialists we bring in for what a project actually needs. That structure is deliberate. It means the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it, and you are never explaining your business to somebody new halfway through. It also means we can staff a larger project properly without carrying people between them.

How we choose what to build with

We build on tools that are mature, well documented and widely used — mostly WordPress and Laravel. That is a deliberate choice: it means your project can be picked up by another developer if you ever move on. We are not interested in locking clients into technology only we understand.
